What stays on your iPhone

Kata saves your language pairs, settings, current field and practice history on this device. This lets you continue where you left off and see your progress.

No advertising or tracking

Kata has no ads, tracking or analytics. The app does not send your practice history to a server or sync progress between devices.

Device backups

Your app data may be included in iPhone backups, depending on your device settings. Apple manages these backups. Kata does not provide its own cloud backup.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your progress stays on this device until you reset it or delete the app. In Settings, you can reset progress for each language pair. To remove all local Kata data, delete the app rather than offloading it. Restoring a device backup may restore earlier app data.

When you email us

The developer receives your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use correspondence to answer questions, investigate problems and improve Kata. We keep it only for as long as needed for those purposes or legal obligations. You can ask us to delete correspondence by email.

When you test with TestFlight

Apple automatically collects beta usage and crash information and shares it with the developer. Feedback and screenshots you choose to send are also shared with Apple. We use beta reports to fix problems and improve Kata.

Apple manages its own retention of TestFlight reports under its TestFlight privacy information.

These pages are hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process technical request information, such as your IP address, to deliver and protect the website under its privacy policy. These pages have no analytics, tracking scripts or forms, and do not set their own cookies. The website does not receive your Kata practice history.
